Is Holiday Necessary for Us?

If we are a workaholic and rarely to take rest or enjoy onsome days then we may feel very bored and very tired so having a day off from work and having a holiday is must. Holidays are important for many reasons however, many people neglect to take the time out they need mentally or physically to ensure their continued health and happiness. Working 365 days a year or near to 365 days a year (6 daysa week) is not only crazy but bad for the mind and body.

Holiday is the time for all of us to relax and get away from all the crazy works that we faced everyday in our dailylife. Maybe you are the type that enjoy a good adventure. Adventure holidays are a great way to spend your holiday if you have had enough downtime lately. You could go mountain climbing, whitewater rafting, paragliding or windsurfing. If you prefer a romantic holiday with your wife you should consider going to Sabang, Bali or Lombok and enjoy your holiday under the sun. Of course the kind of holidays you will be able to have will also depend on the amount of money you are willing to spend.

Studies have shown that people are more likely to get sick if they don’t take enough time off work and in the USA, it was even found that women who didn’t take a holiday for six years were eight times more likely to suffer heart disease than those who took a couple of holidays a year. Men are also more likely to suffer physically if they don’t take a break. A study found that men who didn’t go on holiday every year were increasing their risk of dying froma heart attack by over 30 per cent.

Holiday on the one hand provides us with changing atmospherefrom monotonous work, and also improves our output against monotonous nature of work. A holiday is a means that provides us with stimulus variation. People engage in different tasks, look to other corners of world, meet other people, make new friendships, all serving the purpose of variation.

After a holiday you feel renewed and your attitude is more relaxed and receptive for what is to come. Most of alleven if you don’t think you are stressed every day event do stress the mind and body. Holidays ensure these stressesare released and well being is rejuvenated.
